Leaders of Hindu Law Reform Council on Thursday said that the people, who have recently orchestrated and conducted attacks on the Hindus, their temples, houses and business establishments, had committed crimes against humanity and for that reason the attackers should be tired in the International Crimes Tribunal.
They also demanded exemplary punishment for the attackers.
The demands were placed at a human chain in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh in Dhaka.
The council organised the programme on the day of Shyama Puja wearing mask of Hindu goddess Kali.
Mayna Talukder, president of the council, presided over the human chain and central leaders Rina Roy, Mita Rani Roy Chowdhury, Niru Barua, Pulak Raha, Pintu Saha and general secretary Pulak Ghatak spoke at the programme.
The organisation also brought out a protest procession.
