Bangladesh Hindu Law Reform Council on Friday demanded that the traditional Hindu Law should be reformed to establish the rights of Hindu women.
Leaders of the newly formed council at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity raised the demand.
They also placed five demands, including establishment of inheritance right of daughters in paternal property, equal right of parents on their offspring, divorce right for Hindu women.

She also said that Hindu laws were reformed in India, Nepal and some other countries.
General secretary of the organisation Pulack Ghatak called on the Awami League government to reform the law to fulfil its election pledge.
